THE DESIGNER

Francisca Bragança grew up surrounded by paints and brushes on all sides. Painting has been a passion since childhood, largely influenced by her mother, who paints porcelain and has always been her biggest supporter. Fran watched her paint late into the night, and experimented with crayons, crayons and colored pencils, until she reached the watercolors, gouaches and pastels she uses today. Her vocation for art took her to the Faculty of Design – Product Design, at PUC-Rio, and it was in this area that Fran worked for over 20 years. He went through brands such as Richards and Francesca Romana Diana, until he opened his own graphic design office, FBBF Design.

In 2019, following her lifelong dream, she found in fabric bags and accessories the perfect support to bring her paintings to life. Mother of three children and two stepchildren, Fran has always appreciated the practicality and optimization of the countless daily tasks, and soon knew that her creations would be designed for active and dynamic women, full of energy and without time to waste. This is how Fran Design pieces were born, full of color, with strategic, durable and waterproof pockets.

THE PATTERNS

Prints are Fran Bragança's great passion, and the biggest motivator for creating the brand was finding a support to spread her paintings around the world. Their main inspiration is the exuberance of flora and fauna, the colors and the joy of Brazil. Fran uses several techniques to execute her paintings, such as watercolor, gouache, oil pastel and Copic pens. The images are then scanned, processed and transformed into prints on the computer, until they are finally printed on the fabric.
